Vets to get Hayhurst's attention
FORT WAYNE -- Dr. Tom Hayhurst has finished his walking tour of the 3rd Congressional District. Now he's read for another tour -- one to talk about an issue near and dear to his heart.
Hayhurst, the Democratic nominee for the seat in the U.S. House, will soon launch a tour of northeast Indiana to talk about issues affecting veterans.
"I think there's often been a lot of lip service paid to our vets by the folks at the national level," he said in an interview last week, "who then don't really do what they should to support them."

Campaign ads hit airwaves
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - "Campaign Season" is open and Dr. Tom Hayhurst is the first to get an ad on the air. Hayhurst will face Marlin Stutzman in November. Each hopes to take over Mark Souder's 3rd district seat in Washington.
